Dielectric Properties and Magnetoelectric Effect of Bi7Fe3Ti3O21 Ceramic Material Doped with Gadolinium Ions

Pure Bi7Fe3Ti3O21 ceramic material and gadolinium ion (Gd3+)-doped ones were prepared by solid-state reaction method using simple oxides. The findings of the XRD measurements confirmed the initial author’s assumption that the dopant ions substituted in perovskite blocks influenced the dimensions of the unit cell parameters. All obtained materials are single-phase and show an orthorhombic structure with the Fm2m space group. Microstructure studies show that the admixture gadolinium doping changes the microstructure of the base material, changing grain shapes from plate-like to rounded. The temperature dependences of the electric permittivity have shown the existence of a maximum, the temperature location of which depends on both the frequency and the concentration of Gd3+ ions. The highest values of electric permittivity were characteristic of the material with an admixture of Gd3+ ions in the amount of x = 0.6 (f = 1 kHz), and the lowest values were for material with x = 0.2 (f = 1 kHz). Studies of the magnetoelectric effect have shown that the strongest coupling between magnetic and electrical properties was demonstrated by a material doped with Gd3+ ions in the amount of x = 0.2, for which the magnetoelectric coupling coefficient is equal to α = 12.58·10−9 s/m.

Direct and converse piezoelectricity of thickness tuned BCZT ceramics: toward efficient bilayered magnetoelectric devices

Abstract Here we report the effect of thickness reduction of bulk 0.5(Ba0.7Ca0.3)TiO3-0.5Ba(Ti0.8Zr0.2)O3 (BCZT) pellet on its direct and indirect piezoelectric properties. Upon reducing the thickness to 0.3 mm, the pellet shows a very high electrostrain of ~0.7% and piezoelectric coefficient of ~353 pC/N which were ~0.14% and 258 pC/N for the 1 mm thick sample. These results have been correlated with the reduction in hardness and mutual mechanical clamping between the grains due to the reduced thickness of BCZT. Due to this improved strain sensitivity, the bilayered magnetoelectric (ME) devices of BCZT with magnetostrictive CoFe1.9Bi0.1O4 (CFBO) pellet have also shown gradually improved ME coupling coefficient (α_ME) with reduced BCZT thickness (α_ME = 27 and 66 mV·cm-1·Oe-1 for 1 and 0.3 mm BCZT thickness, respectively). This demonstrates the possible applicability of thickness tuned BCZT pellets for various technological purposes.

Magnetoelectric coupling in Ba:Pb(Zr,Ti)O3/Co40Fe40B20 nanoscale waveguides studied by propagating spin-wave spectroscopy

In this study, we report on the characterization of the magnetoelectric coupling coefficient in Ba-substituted Pb(Zr, Ti)O3/Co40Fe40B20 (BPZT/CoFeB) nanoscaled waveguides with lateral dimensions of 700 nm using propagating spin-wave spectroscopy. The characterization was conducted in a Damon–Eshbach configuration to maximize the magnetoelastic coupling strength, as predicted by strain distribution calculations using finite element simulations. The spin-wave resonance frequency is controlled by applying bias voltages on the magnetoelectric waveguide. The magnitude of the frequency shift was correlated with the strength of the magnetoelastic field, which reached a maximum value of 5.71 mT in our experiments. In addition, the results demonstrated that the coupling coefficient behavior is associated with the hysteretic ferroelectric nature of BPZT, reaching a maximum value of 1.69 mT/V.

Consistent c-axis orientation and reinforced magnetoelectric coupling performance in bulk BaSrCo2Fe11AlO22

Consistent c-axis orientation characteristics toward the direction of applied pressure of Y-type BaSrCo2Fe11AlO22 (BSCFAO-θ) were successfully prepared by the strategy of hot pressing. The samples’ magnetoelectric coupling performance was greatly enhanced by the strategy of hot pressing than that of the traditional solid reaction method. The magnetoelectric current of BSCFAO-θ (θ = 0°) (12.06 μA/m2) was nearly 5 times higher than BSCFAO-SS (2.24 μA/m2). The magnetoelectric polarization of BSCFAO-θ (θ = 0°) (32.82 μC/m2) was nearly 4 times higher than that of BSCFAO-SS (8.31 μC/m2). The magnetoelectric coupling coefficients of BSCFAO-θ (θ = 0°) (1880 ps/m) were nearly 4 times higher than those of BSCFAO-SS (404 ps/m). The enhancement of magnetoelectric polarization of BSCFAO-θ (θ = 0°) can be attributed to the uniform c-axis orientation, which reinforced magnetoelectric polarization compared with none orientation that eliminated the magnetoelectric polarization on grain boundaries. The magnetoelectric coupling performance of BSCFAO-θ presented a gradually decreasing trend with the angle changing from 0° to 90° for the changing of orientation. Compared with traditional solid reaction methods, the strategy of hot pressing inhibits grain growth and increases grain boundaries, thus facilitating the enhancement of grain boundaries’ resistivity, and the electrical resistivity of BSCFAO-θ (3.08 × 1010 Ω cm) was nearly 10 000 times higher than that of BSCFAO-SS (2.5 × 106 Ω cm), which also benefits the magnetoelectric polarization performance of BSCFAO-θ. Therefore, the hot-pressing strategy can contribute to the forming of oriented ceramics and enhance the grain boundaries’ resistivity to improve magnetoelectric coupling performance.

Enhanced structural, magnetodielectric, and multiferroic response in Fe and Co Co-doped Barium strontium titanate ceramics

In this paper, the ambient temperature multiferroic effect resulting from the incorporation of transition metal ions (Fe3+ and Co2+) in lead-free BST [ Ba0.7Sr0.3(Fex/2Cox/2)Ti1−xO3;x=0,0.01,0.03,0.05,0.07 ] ceramics synthesized via the solid-state reaction (SSR) procedure has been thoroughly analyzed. The investigation consistently scrutinized the effects of augmenting transition metal co-doping on the structural, ferroelectric, dielectric, magnetic, and magnetodielectric characteristics. The x-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns for all ceramic compositions demonstrated the formation of a monophasic (P4mm) crystalline structure. The Raman analysis evidenced the presence of various modes, which are associated with the occurrence of the single-phase and provide strong corroboration for the x-ray diffraction observations. Scanning electron micrographs reveals that the inclusion of transition metal ions results in the diminution of grain size. The frequency-dependent dielectric characteristics were represented over the frequency range of 1 kHz to 1 MHz. The P-E hysteresis curves demonstrate a consistent reduction in the values of Ps and Pr, whereas, the M-H curve reveals the enhancement in magnetic properties with increased doping. The magnetodielectric analysis confirmed the interplay between the ferroelectric and ferromagnetic ordering. The BST-1CF sample exhibited the highest MC % value of 5.30% along with the magnetoelectric coupling coefficient ‘γ’ of −6.01×10−1(memu/g)−2, making it a favorable entrant for the advancement of innovative non-volatile multiferroic memory gadgets.

Enhanced magnetoelectric properties of the composite films of Bi0.5Na0.5Ti0.98Fe0.02O3-δ-NiFe1.98Nd0.02O4 with different deposition sequences

The films of Bi0.5Na0.5Ti1-xFexO3-δ and NiFe2-xNdxO4 were deposited via spin-coating method. The results indicate that the film of Bi0.5Na0.5Ti0.98Fe0.02O3-δ possesses good ferroelectric performance with remnant polarization as high as 25.2 µC·cm−2 and the film of NiFe1.98Nd0.02O4 possesses a maximal saturation magnetization (282.4 emu·cm−3). The composite films of Bi0.5Na0.5Ti0.98Fe0.02O3-δ-NiFe1.98Nd0.02O4 with different deposition sequences were also prepared. In contrast to single-phase films, magnetoelectric composite films exhibit smaller remnant polarization and saturation magnetization. The film of NiFe1.98Nd0.02O4/Bi0.5Na0.5Ti0.98Fe0.02O3-δ (NB) possesses greater values of remnant polarization, saturation magnetization and magnetoelectric coupling coefficient than those for the composite film of Bi0.5Na0.5Ti0.98Fe0.02O3-δ/NiFe1.98Nd0.02O4 (BN). The composite film of BN exhibits greater magnetoelectric coupling coefficients as high as 169.7 mV·cm−1·Oe−1.

Lithiation bridged molecular conducting magnets

Combining ferromagnetism and metallic conductivity has been extensively studied in contemporary materials science. However, building such multifunctionalities in molecular chemistry is particularly challenging, on which two collec-tive properties are long considered as mutually exclusive. Here, we report molecular conducting magnet consisting of two-dimensional graphene and molecular planar magnetic networks bridged by electrochemical lithiation, exhibiting the co-existence of distinct magnetism and conductivity and magneto-electric coupling effects. The room temperature magnetoresistance and magnetoelectric coupling coefficient of such complex solid reach 10.7 % and 1.77 V/Oe cm, respectively, which can be further tailored by modulating the interaction between graphene and molecular magnetic network. In addition, the graphene passivation simultaneously introduces environmental stability of molecular mag-nets. The electrochemical lithiation offers a pathway towards coupling magnetism and conductivity in molecular complexes.

Mutual control of electric and magnetic orders near room temperature in Al doped Y-type hexaferrite single crystals

Realizing robust magnetoelectric (ME) coupling effect near room temperature is still a long-standing challenge for the application of multiferroic materials in next-generation low-power spintronic and memory devices. Here we report a systematic study on the magnetic, dielectric, and ME coupling properties of Y-type hexaferrite Ba0.5Sr1.5Co2Fe12–xAlxO22 (x = 0.0, 0.5, 1.0) single crystals. The Al doping can induce the shifting of the alternating longitudinal conical (ALC)-proper screw (PS) magnetic phase transition temperature from 200 K for x = 0.0 to 365 K for x = 1.0. The most interesting feature is that the Ba0.5Sr1.5Co2Fe11AlO22 single crystal displays a direct and converse ME coupling coefficient with ∼ 3,100 ps/m and ∼ 3,900 ps/m at 250 K, respectively, due to the Al-doped enhanced stability of ALC phase. Moreover, the exchange bias also verifies the strong coupling of electric and magnetic orders. These results provide a valuable insight on the modulation of ALC structure and the mechanism of ME effect in Y-type hexaferrites.

Improved magnetoelectric coupling of Co–Ti substituted barium hexaferrite at room temperature and related electrical investigations

This paper reports a systematic study of the electrical, multiferroic and magnetoelectric coupling properties of Co–Ti substituted Barium hexaferrites, having the chemical composition BaFe12-2xCoxTixO19 (x = 0–2.0; in steps of 0.5), synthesized using the sol gel auto-combustion method. X-ray Diffraction (XRD) studies and Rietveld refinement confirmed the successful incorporation of Co–Ti ions in the hexaferrite lattice with all the samples displaying Pb63/mmc space group single phase structure. Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) images revealed the inhibition of crystal growth in a particular direction with Co–Ti substitution. The conduction mechanisms of the samples were analysed from the conductivity measurements and were found to follow Jonschers power law. The complex impedance spectroscopy analysis and the Cole-Cole plot fitted diagrams of the samples indicated the enhancement of bulk resistivity and grain boundary resistivity with substitution. Saturation magnetizations of the substituted samples decreased and were ascribed to the replacement of Fe ions by Co–Ti ions at different crystallographic sites. The observed reduction in anisotropy constant indicated the disturbance in the magnetic axis. The multiferroic nature of the substituted samples at room temperature was confirmed from the soft ferroelectric loops. Room temperature magnetoelectric coupling coefficient was found to be largely enhanced with substitution, achieving an exceptionally high value of 182mV/cmOe for the x = 1.5 sample. This may prove useful for potential use in emerging device applications as a single phase room temperature multiferroic material.

Large room temperature magnetoelectric response in quasi 1–2 nanocomposite films on mica substrate

AbstractA novel quasi 1–2 type magnetoelectric (ME) nanocomposite films composted of one‐dimensional CoFe2O4 nanofibers and two‐dimensional PbZr0.2Ti0.8O3 films on flexible mica substrate have been designed and fabricated. The ME coupling effects have been greatly enhanced due to the release of the clamping effect and the high strain transfer efficiency between the large aspect ratio of the nanofibers and ferroelectric thin films. The release of the clamping effect was confirmed by reducing the thickness of the mica substrate, in which the piezoelectric coefficient and ME coupling coefficient of the nanocomposite films have been greatly boosted by the decrease in the mica thickness. A large direct ME coupling coefficient of 630 mV/(cm Oe) and a converse ME coupling coefficient of 1.43 × 10−8 s/m have been achieved in the quasi 1–2 nanocomposite film with a substrate thickness of 25 µm. Furthermore, the stain‐mediated ME coupling was revealed by magnetic field/electric field‐induced local ferroelectric/magnetic domain switching dynamics.

Sm substitution induced spin reorientation and stabilization of double perovskite structure resulting in enhanced magnetoelectricity in LaYFe2O6

We report an enhanced magnetoelectric (ME) effect in spin–phonon coupled single-phase La1−xSmxYFe2O6 (0 ≤ x ≤ 1). The structural, electric, magnetic, and ME properties have been investigated to establish their interplay leading to magnetoelectricity. X-ray diffraction study suggests the facilitation of the P21nm phase (double perovskite lattice arrangements) formation and improved structural order due to the substitution of Sm in the lattice. Antiferromagnetic (AFM) transition ∼700 K along with a spin-reorientation transition around room temperature (RT) and below is observed in the thermomagnetic curve. The indication of short range ordering in the magnetization data in the form of a non-Griffiths-like phase (nGP) is observed. The short range ordering could be minimized along with consequent improvement in AFM ordering, due to Sm substitution. An enhanced (∼31% with respect to x = 0) RT first-order ME coupling coefficient ∼0.59 mV cm−1 Oe−1 in x = 0.75 composition is observed. The findings reported here open the door to exercise spin-reorientation transition in the spin–phonon coupled double perovskites for spintronic device applications.

Investigating magnetic, and magneto-electric properties of Nd doped [(1-y) Bi1-xNdxFeO3-yPbTiO3] solid solution

Magneto-electronic devices applications of room-temperature multiferroics have been made possible by recent developments. But the potential use of pure BFO in multifunctional devices is constrained by its antiferromagnetic nature and need substitution-induced modification to improve magnetic and magnetoelectric properties. In the present paper, attempt has been made to improve the magnetic and magnetoelectric properties of the BiFeO3-PbTiO3 solid solution by incorporating Bismuth cation with Lead(II) ion and Ferric cation with Titanium cation into the formulation of Nd doped,(1-y)Bi1-xNdxFeO3-yPbTiO3where x = 0.05,0.10,0.15,0.20 and y = 0.1, 0.2,0.3 and 0.4. The impact of different PbTiO3 and Nd compositions on magnetoelectric and magnetic characteristics of solid solution has been investigated. The results showed that, degree of magnetization continuously increases with increasing Nd doping by affecting Fe-O-Fe angles. However, the magnetization drops as the volume of PbTiO3 rises, that may be attributed to a rise in the tetragonal phase of solid solutions. The improvement of the magnetoelectric coupling coefficient and change of antiferromagnetic behaviour to ferromagnetic behaviour of solid solutions has been observed with increasing Nd doping. This enhance the ferromagnetic behaviour of the compound.

Effect of rapid/slow annealing routes on the magnetic and photoelectric properties of BiFeO3/CoFe2O4 multilayer thin films

With the development of electronic information technology, the miniaturization of lightweight devices and their integration have increased the requirements for materials, and two-dimensional composite multiferroic materials have become a major research hotspot in recent years. However, it is difficult for traditional solid multiferroic material to directly switch the magnetic/polarization direction under the action of an applied electric/magnetic field, limiting the improvement of the magnetoelectric coupling coefficient. In this study, a series of BiFeO3 (BFO)/CoFe2O4 (CFO) composite film multiferroic materials were prepared by changing the annealing routes and annealing atmosphere, the microstructure, ferroelectric properties, dielectric properties, photovoltaic properties, magnetic properties, and magnetoelectric coupling properties of composite films were routeatically studied. The results showed that under the slow annealing route, the composite film has obvious ellipsoidal grains with distinct grain boundaries and better crystallinity. Moreover, the performance of the film after annealing in different atmospheres of the slow annealing route was improved compared with that of the rapid annealing route after annealing in different atmospheres. Simultaneously, by changing the annealing atmosphere of the composite film, the film exhibited better magnetic optical properties and coupling properties after annealing in oxygen. In addition, this study showed that the dielectric constant and residual polarization value of the film increase under the action of magnetic field and illumination, and the maximum photomagnetic dielectric response (3.19%) and photomagnetic response (1.58%) are observed in the annealed film under the oxygen atmosphere of the slow annealing regime, indicating that the magnetoelectric coupling effect of the film is improved under the action of applied light.

Boosting energy harvesting of fully flexible magnetoelectric composites of PVDF-AlN and NiO-decorated carbon nanofibers

The increasing popularity of wearable electronics has sparked interest in flexible energy harvesters as alternatives to conventional batteries. Flexible magnetoelectric (ME) composites, known for converting ambient magnetic field energy into useable power, are emerging as promising autonomous energy sources for integration into wearable devices. In this study, we prepared flexible (PVDF-AlN)–(NiO–CNF) based ME composites using two different methods: solution-casting and electrospinning techniques. The ME coupling was confirmed by measuring the ferroelectric and magnetic properties of the composite, and it was qualitatively characterized through the ME coupling coefficient. The electrospinning fibers-based ME composite exhibited an optimal value of 10.6 V/cm.Oe, significantly higher than the solution-casting films-based ME composite (1.3 V/cm.Oe) under a 1 kHz AC magnetic field (off-resonance condition). Subsequently, a flexible magneto-mechano-electric (MME) generator was designed using electrospun-derived material, harvesting a sinusoidal wave with a maximum output peak-to-peak voltage of 9.02 V. The generator displayed an optimal DC power density of 97 μW/m2 when exposed to a weak AC magnetic field of 6 Oe at a frequency of 50 Hz. Consequently, it holds great promise as an efficient autonomous power supply for medical sensing and various miniature electronic applications.

Unleashing the potential: Multifunctionality of PVDF-HFP based ternary nanocomposite films - magnetoelectric, energy harvesting and impact sensing performance

Multifunctional materials are proving to be highly promising for advancing various technologies, including magneto-mechano-electric energy harvesting devices and flexible sensors. This study focused on synthesizing a polyvinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene-metal-oxide-layered silicate nanocomposite system using a cost-effective solution casting technique. The performance of the system was evaluated in terms of magnetoelectric behaviour, energy harvesting capabilities, and impact sensing. The nanocomposite films demonstrated a peak-to-peak voltage of 12.2 V with a filler loading of 15 wt% and an applied force of 9 N, along with a magnetoelectric coupling coefficient of 20.6 mVcm−1Oe−1. The device's ability to scavenge biomechanical energy during body movements like foot stamping, arm bending, finger flexing, and wrist bending was successfully verified. Furthermore, rigorous durability testing was conducted through repeated energy harvesting studies, proving the device's practicality and resilience. Notably, the developed device powered up six LEDs and a digital clock, while the impact sensor exhibited a linear relationship between output voltage and impact force. These findings highlight the remarkable potential of the polyvinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene-metal-oxide-layered silicate nanocomposite system for multifunctional applications in various technological fields.

Enhanced dielectric, magnetic and magnetoelectric properties in 0.5BaFe12O19 - xBaTiO3 - (0.5-x)CoFe2O4 composites

(0.5)BaFe12O19 - xBaTiO3 - (0.5-x)CoFe2O4; (x = 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 & 0.4) composite system was developed through conventional solid-state technique. XRD with Rietveld refinement confirmed pure tri-phasic composites with no impurity. The microstructure of samples has inhomogeneous grain packing with average size of grains ∼0.5 μm and typically decreased with BaTiO3 increment. The dielectric constant showed low-frequency dispersion and increased with BaTiO3 increment, hence maximum at 400 °C for composite x = 0.4 (∼2.8 × 103 at 1 kHz). Composites are ferrimagnetic in nature along with presence of firm exchange coupling among BaFe12O19/CoFe2O4 ferrite phases. The samples are multiferroic owing to typically high magnetoelectric coupling coefficient which increased with BaTiO3 increment, thus composite x = 0.4 attains highest value of 4.56 mV/cm.Oe on application of ac magnetic field (Hac = 45 Oe). The results indicate that the composites are suitable for magnetic field sensors and memory storage devices.

Resonant Magnetoelectric Coupling of Fe-Si-B/Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 Laminated Composites with Surface Crystalline Layers.

The resonant magnetoelectric (ME) effect of Fe78Si9B13/Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 (FeSiB/PZT) composites with a surface-modified Fe78Si9B13 amorphous alloy has been studied. The surface-modified FeSiB can improve the ME coefficient at the resonant frequency by optimizing the magnetomechancial power conversion efficiency. The maximum ME coefficient of the surface-modified ribbons combined with soft PZT (PZT5) is two-thirds larger than that of the composites with fully amorphous ribbons. Meanwhile, the maximum value of the ME coefficient with surface-modified FeSiB ribbons and hard PZT (PZT8) is one-third higher compared with the fully amorphous composites. In addition, experimental results of magnetomechanical coupling properties of FeSiB/PZT composites with or without piezoelectric layers indicate that the power efficiency of the composites first decreases and then increases with the increase in the number of FeSiB layers. When the surface crystalline FeSiB ribbons are combined with a commercially available hard piezoelectric ceramic plate, the maximum magnetoelectric coupling coefficient of the ME composite reaches 5522 V/(Oe*cm), of which the electromechanical resonant frequency is 23.89 kHz.

CO2 -Induced Spin-Lattice Coupling for Strong Magnetoelectric Materials.

The preparation of 2D magnetoelectric (ME) nanomaterials with strong ME coupling is crucial for the fast reading and writing processes in the next generation of storage devices. Herein, 2D BaTiO3 (BTO)-CoFe2 O4 (CFO) ME nanocomposites are prepared through a substrate-free coupling strategy using supercritical CO2 . Such 2D BTO-CFO with strong coupling is built through alternating in-plane and out-of-plane epitaxy stacking, leading to remarkable mutual biaxial strain effects for spin-lattice coupling. As a results, such strain effect significantly enhances the ferroelectricity of BTO and the ferrimagnetism of CFO, where an unexceptionally high ME coupling coefficient of (325.8mVcm-1 Oe-1 ) is obtained for the BTO-CFO nanocomposites.

Magnetic field tunable piezoelectric resonator for MEMS applications

In this report, the Ni0.50Mn0.35In0.15/Pb0.96La0.04Zr0.52Ti0.48O3 (Ni-Mn-In/PLZT) bulk acoustic wave (BAW) resonator has been fabricated using the sputtering deposition technique. The magnetoelectric effect in the Ni-Mn-In/PLZT resonator has been investigated. The increase in magnetoelectric coupling coefficient (MECC) with the increment in the frequency of applied HAC is observed. The potential of the Ni-Mn-In/PLZT BAW resonator as a magnetic sensor is tested by measuring the shift in the resonant frequency of the reflective (S11 parameter) response in the presence of the externally applied magnetic field. The Ni-Mn-In/PLZT resonator exhibits a frequency shift of 730 MHz in the 1200 Oe magnetic field, among the largest magnetic field-induced frequency shifts in literature. The rarely reported complete dependence of acoustic velocity, coupling coefficients, magnetic sensitivity, and frequency peak shift on the strength of the external magnetic field is investigated. The acoustic velocity increases from 1237 m/s to 1394 m/s, and the electromechanical coupling coefficient increases from 0.0199 % to 0.0206 % after applying the 1200 Oe magnetic field. The reflective responses have been fitted using the Modified-Butterworth Van Dyke (MBVD) model in terms of hardly reported RLC equivalent circuits. The experimental results and extracted parameters from MBVD modeling exhibit high accuracy. This interaction between multiferroic orders and elastic resonance peaks opens a new window for highly sensitive future magnetic field sensors, wireless communication devices, and magnetic field tunable filters.

Enhanced ferroelectric and magnetic properties of the 0–3 type BiFeO3-BaTiO3/BaFe12O19 composite multiferroic material

The 0–3 type (1-x)(0.75BiFeO3-0.25BaTiO3)/xBaFe12O19 (BFO-BTO/BaM) multiferroic composites were successfully prepared by a solid-state reaction sintering process. The coexistence of perovskite BFO-BTO phase and hexagonal BaM phase was confirmed for all BFO-BTO/BaM composites. Due to the large leakage current, the breakdown electric field decreased with increasing BaM content. Nevertheless, the ferroelectric properties of the composite ceramics have also been significantly improved, mainly as the increase of remanent polarization and the decrease of coercive field, where Pr = 19.79 μC/cm2, Ec = 30 kV/cm at x = 0.075. Meanwhile, the magnetic properties of BFO-BTO phase were enhanced, and the remanent magnetization linearly increased with increasing BaM content. The single domain magnetic structure was obtained for all BFO-BTO/BaM composite ceramics, and the magnetic properties changed after electric poling, which indicated the electric field controlled magnetic properties. The electric-controlled magnetic behavior was attributed to the structural phase transition. The magnetoelectric coupling coefficient αME of the composite material has been improved, with a maximum value of 0.61 mV/cm.Oe. Thus, the BFO-BTO/BaM magneto-electric composite system is a promising multiferroic system in information technology and sensing fields.
